Cambridge carp are a specialist fish farm focussing on producing a fast growing, strong and healthy UK bred strain of carp aligned to the ever changing, demanding and high quality requirements of today’s fishery managers. We are not dealers and will not sell any fish we have not personally reared on the farm and in our network of growing on ponds.
Carp anglers are more often looking for larger fish to satisfy their progressive desire to challenge themselves and improve PB’s, necessitating the requirement of a suitable strain of fish for a fishery to stay competitive whilst realising its financial objectives. It is no longer a matter of stocking that pretty little fish and waiting 20 years for it to reach 30lb. Whilst this type of strain has its place in today’s sport and maybe represents the longevity of a fishery we believe there is a position to fulfil in most fisheries providing that stock which will push through and represent the not to distant future A Team.

I was really impressed with the carp we got from Cambridge carp. The carp that they supplied were in perfect condition, with weights between 12lb to 17lb. we had a nice mix of male and female carp with a lovely variety of scale patterns. Within 3 years some of the shooters were hitting 30lb and blended in beautifully with our existing stock. Matt and Martin were very helpful and professional from start to finish.
