When supplying fish we are regularly asked for the largest fish we have and understand why this may be the case, however it is vital that you maintain a healthy balance of male and female fish in your lake to assist spawning. Generally male fish tend to be smaller and can remain smaller throughout their life, (not always the case as Captain Jack was a male fish and reached a colossal weight, but these are the exceptions). Please consider this when ordering and provide us as much information regarding your existing stocking and water conditions as possible. We can advise and assist with your stocking plans if required. To allow us to supply you fish your fishery must have a CEFAS registration and current site permit covering the fish you wish to introduce.

CEFAS Fishery Registration

A government database of waters defining stock species permission and contact details for the registered operator (contact responsible for water). Any changes to this initial baseline will be notified by use of a Site permit application. The EA link to form RW1 Fishery registration is:

Site Permit

Any fishery which requires to introduce additional fish or remove existing fish need a site permit in advance of the delivery or removal. A site permit authorising the fish which you are allowed to stock or remove and any conditions regarding the stocking. Site permits are available from the Environment Agency using the following link. Note if you are looking to remove fish you may need a health check prior to the move.
